Welcome to the Touring Hotel in Livorno!

The Touring Hotel offers its guests a welcoming environment in the heart of the city, a few steps from the famous Goldoni Theater. An ideal place for business stays, but also for pleasant holidays on the Etruscan coast, the hotel is only 2 minutes from the bus stop with connections to the railway station and 10 minutes from the main maritime ports.

Storytelling

The hotel, small but not too small, is managed by a man - a hotelier that has practically always been since he was born (his parents with his little sister lived on the second floor of the structure) - and a she, an art historian with a the restoration, united by the love for Venice and contemporary art. (1) The business was opened by his father - a gallant and courteous man - who in 1952 took over a pre-existing hotel in Livorno (2), a few steps from the famous Goldoni Theater, and shortly after inaugurated another in Pisa, managed today from his sister. The 19th century building (3) was quickly transformed, with the help of his eccentric wife, into an elegant and ultra-modern building (traces of the obscured pre-existing structures were found in the renovation works). In those years - in the aftermath of the tragic war events - everyone wanted to change, they wanted something new and 'modern'. Evidence of all this is still preciously preserved today, some paintings or appliques, a sofa (4) or a radio (5), the lift, the ceramic wall with a geometric pattern. Everything (or almost) has been recovered and restored (6,7). To the emotional component, which was at the origin of the first timid interventions, was added the awareness of a sustainability of the design choices, thus responding to principles of protection and safeguarding of the environment: "nothing is created, nothing is destroyed, everything is transforms "(Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier). Objects and furnishing elements invested with a second life that give the environment an authentic vintage and retro mood. Here everything has a past life,

what's your story?
